Sade Sati is the seven and a half years Saturn spends crossing the three signs around your natal Moon: the one before it, the Moon's own sign, and the one after. Three signs, two and a half years each. It is defined from the Moon sign and only the Moon sign, which is why a "Sade Sati by sun sign" list is meaningless - it is answering a question the concept does not ask.
Saturn's move into Aries on 3 June 2027 at 04:00 IST redraws that map. Two Moon signs change status on the same morning, in opposite directions.
Beginning: Taurus Moon
Aries is the sign before Taurus, so Saturn arriving there puts it in the 12th from a Taurus Moon. That is the opening phase, and it starts on 3 June 2027.
The first phase has a particular texture that people rarely expect, because they are braced for disaster and get something quieter instead. The twelfth house is expenditure, sleep, foreign places and the things you let go of. What tends to arrive is not catastrophe but leakage - costs that were not planned, sleep that stops being reliable, and a slow loss of interest in commitments that had felt permanent. It reads as drift more than as pressure. The pressure phase comes later, when Saturn reaches the Moon itself.
Ending: Aquarius Moon
Pisces is the sign after Aquarius, so Saturn has been in the third and final phase for Aquarius Moons since March 2025. When Saturn leaves Pisces on 3 June 2027, that ends.
The closing phase sits in the second from the Moon, which the tradition assigns to money, speech and the family you were born into - and its reputation is for being the expensive one rather than the heavy one. Coming out of it is usually felt as the return of a margin: decisions stop being made from a defensive crouch, and the household finances stop being the first thing considered in every choice.
The complication both signs share
Saturn does not stay. It turns retrograde on 9 August 2027 and slips back into Pisces on 20 October 2027, where it remains until it re-enters Aries on 23 February 2028.
So the Taurus Moon's Sade Sati begins in June, pauses for four months in October, and resumes in February. The Aquarius Moon's Sade Sati ends in June, returns in October, and ends properly in February. Neither is a clean line, and anyone who tells you the date without the reversal has given you half the transit.
This is worth planning around rather than worrying about. If you have an Aquarius Moon and you are timing something you had been holding back until Sade Sati passed, the genuinely clear window opens in February 2028, not June 2027. Four months of relief is real, but it is not the end.
Everyone else
Saturn is in Pisces and Aries through this whole stretch, so only Moon signs adjacent to those two are involved at all. In plain terms: Aquarius, Pisces, Aries and Taurus Moons are inside Sade Sati at some point across 2027 and 2028. The remaining eight Moon signs are not, whatever a general horoscope column tells you.
- Aquarius Moon - third phase, ending
- Pisces Moon - moving from the second phase into the third
- Aries Moon - Saturn reaches the Moon itself, the heaviest phase
- Taurus Moon - first phase, beginning
What Sade Sati is not
It is not seven and a half years of misfortune, and treating it that way costs people more than the transit does. Saturn's method is to remove what was being held up by nothing, and to make everything else slower and more expensive to obtain. For work that was already solid, that reads as a hard, productive stretch. For arrangements that were quietly failing, it reads as collapse - but the collapse was already funded and Saturn only set the date.
It also does not act alone. The same Sade Sati during a benefic dasha and during a Saturn dasha are not comparable experiences, and where Saturn sits natally decides whether it arrives as a creditor or as an examiner. If you want it read against your own chart with your dasha sequence, the Year Ahead report does that. If you do not yet know your Moon sign from your birth time, start with a kundli report, because every sentence above depends on getting that one thing right.
